Merritt
Island National Wildlife Refuge is certified as the greatest
endangered wildlife experience in
North America
.
It also holds the distinction of having the third most
species of wildlife anywhere in the country.
Can you imagine the experience?
We
start with a 20-minute film orientation, then proceed to the
trail. This exclusive
7-mile Black Point Trail tour is possible because we are specially
permitted by the federal government to perform the safari
utilizing 28 passenger mini coaches (full size buses are
excluded). Combined
with the manatee encounter, this tour is nothing less than a
spectacular experience. We
will provide binoculars to help spot some of the 21
endangered/threatened species, plus 330 species of birds, 31
mammals, 65 different reptiles, 1000 species of plants, and some
6,000 alligators. Of
course, we leave time for the gift shop.
