We will begin our morning with an airboat ride along the St. John’s River where we will see alligators, blue heron, and other Florida wildlife.  Then we are off to Cape Canaveral , to Kennedy Space Center , the world’s only space shuttle launch site.  Step into a life-sized space shuttle replica and visit exhibits depicting the space programs’ history.  The days’ highlight will be the chance to get up close to the actual facilities used in a shuttle launch.  Then, a double decker NASA bus will take us on a tour to the monstrous Vehicle Assembly Building and actual shuttle pad.  We will then go to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, which brings the US space missions to the moon to life through dramatic multi-media shows, hands on displays and real Apollo flight hardware.  You will see a real Saturn V Rocket, the most powerful rocket ever built.  Its shear size, 363 feet in length and 6.2 million pounds in weight, will take your breath away.  We then invite you to join us for an IMAX movie, which will take you on awe-inspiring journeys into space, each featuring the “you are there” big picture and big sound that made IMAX famous.
